Product management is judgement work, and AI has raised the price of getting it wrong. Anyone can now ship something that sounds impressive; knowing whether it's reliable enough to put in front of customers is the scarce part.

You don't need to train models. You do need to understand what they can't do, how they fail, and what that means for the person on the other side of the screen.

What you'll be able to do

  • Scope an AI feature that solves a real problem rather than demonstrating a model
  • Work fluently with engineers and designers without writing the code yourself
  • Set expectations about accuracy, cost and failure before launch, not after
